Alex began his yoga journey in 2014.  After attending his first yoga retreat in Mallorca, Spain, in November of 2015, Alex knew he wanted to deepen his practice and become a yoga teacher. On June 23, 2016, Alex was proud to receive his 200hr Yoga Teacher Training certificate from the Anahata Rising School of Yoga based at Bliss YogaSpa in Edmonton, Alberta. Alex received his training under the tutelage of his spiritual teachers, Sheena Mason (Founder) and Lindsey Park (Lead Trainer). Since then, Alex has continued his yoga teaching education learning from inspiring teachers such as Travis Elliott, Lauren Eckstrom, and Naty Howard.

 Since 2016, Alex has taught hot and regular temperature vinyasa-style flow classes to the public for all levels (with modifications) with a focus on alignment, activation of the 7 power centers or Chakras, body awareness, opposing forces of yin/yang, and 'pranayama'(or ‘breath control’) techniques. Alex's hope is that you enter his class knowing that you are in a safe and supportive space, and that after class you walk away feeling rejuvenated, restored and energized!

When Alex is not teaching yoga, he maintains a busy litigation practice in downtown Edmonton and is always looking for the next hidden gem in Edmonton's food scene.
