Recently moving back home from traveling and living abroad, Robin knew immediately that she wanted to work for a company and with a team that made her feel like what she was doing elevated and encouraged people to be the best version of themselves. Having worked as a GSR years ago, the memories of all the positive vibes and support that came out of a days worth of work made re-joining the Yogalife team an obvious must.

“There are so many places you could get a job, only to earn money or because it’s what you might be good at. Working for Yogalife, I’ve never once felt defeated or discouraged going into or coming out of a shift. Everyone, team and clients, lift each other higher, and it makes you a happier person. You wouldn't fill your friend group with people who made you feel small and insignificant, so why would you let your job do it?”

A jack-of-all-trades, Robin graduated from MacEwan University's Arts & Cultural Management program, helping her be able to head an extreme amount of Yogalife projects- such as the karma program, online and in-studio marketing, team building events, community outreach, business partnerships, and helping to organize our website, blog and newsletter campaigns.

In the past year, Robin has lived in Canada, Australia and England, traveled 6 other countries, and developed a severe addiction to Spotify, the gym, espresso, and all things food. Being back home, she is so grateful to be in a city that is growing with its people, and kindly requests, if you see her in the studio, to share your hidden cafe and foodie treasures of Edmonton with her so that she can (gracefully) stuff her face with YEG's finest.

Joining the Yogalife team in 2014, Alyssa has continued to grow and appreciate her role as the South location's Guest Experience Advisor more and more each day.

"The opportunity to work at Yogalife came at a time I truly needed it. Recently returning home from travelling abroad and completing my 200 hour YTT in India, I was working a job that wasn't for me and knew I wanted to focus on finding my place in the yoga community in Edmonton - then I found Yogalife, and have been provided with more than I could have ever asked for in a job. I've been extremely lucky in my role to have the opportunity to connect with so many different people and support them in their own yoga journeys. “

From travelling abroad, to her recent return to post-secondary, Alyssa feels blessed to work somewhere that is filled with such supportive people who constantly inspire and encourage her personal growth and dreams. “As far as jobs go, I'd say I hit the jackpot with Yogalife.”
