Somatics is a movement therapy to strengthen the mind-body integration. The practice itself is incredibly subtle but it is effective in helping our brain re-learn the way it senses and moves our muscles.
Danusia will be hosting a nourishing two-hour Somatic Yoga workshop.
What to expect:
In this workshop, you will learn how our bodies hold on to tension because of developmental reasons, holding patterns, injuries, or trauma-related reasons.
Small, slow, and gentle movements are used to re-educate the brain so that it can relax and move these muscles more functionally.
We'll discuss how yoga and somatics impact the nervous system, and how you can take the somatic practices into your everyday life to help integrate your mind-body movements.
We will move through a guided gentle practice infused with somatic movements, followed by a 30-minute yoga Nidra practice.
